experimenting with cornbread

I wanted sweet, moist cornbread. This is what I tried (an unholy union of many recipes and odd thoughts). It turned out pretty good–perhaps the barest tad too sweet, but definitely good.

3/4 cup sugar
two good dollops of honey
1/4 cup applesauce with olive oil up to 1/3 cup
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup corn meal
1 1/4 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Mix. Bake, greased pan, 400 degrees for 20-25 min.
