coat check?

While working at 123 the other night, Sean heard a girl near the door ask her friend if this bar had a coat check. Do you think the reply was the least of her surprises for the evening?

(Then go on and imagine actually having a coat check at 123. The logistics of it all make me shudder.)

We could do it if LJ got rid of the damn piano. There is room by the door for a coat rack. (remember when that corner was the ice cooler/t-shirt sales corner for Nyabinghi?) The person could charge $1 per coat-that could be their pay for the night. The last piano-removal idea LJ had that I know about was having it taken apart, hollowed out, and placed above the door for asthetics…
It would also stop all the annoying door traffic. I don’t like people being behind me when I have money sitting out, no matter if they are a ‘regular’ or not.

I think it would be a nightmare on busy nights–with the bar responsible for making sure people get the right coat… And if we assigned numbers, you know people would lose/forget them. Now having just a coat rack somewhere with an “at your own risk” type of deal would actually be nice, if we could make a good place for it.
