Litter Laws

A friend of mine recently got pulled over on the interstate when a passenger ashed out the window (not throwing the cigarette butt out — there was a container in the car for that — just the ash). They only got a warning out of it, but it made me curious so I looked it up: And yes, it is in fact illegal to ash out the window of a motor vehicle in WV. (It’s also illegal to throw a dead animal carcass, or any part thereof, out the window. Who knew?)
